Why this template is useful

Having a template for a discovery call can be incredibly useful for both the salesperson and the prospect. It provides a structured approach to the conversation, ensuring that the salesperson asks relevant questions and understands the prospect's needs and pain points.

The template should include pre-call research, where the salesperson familiarizes themselves with the prospect's business and any specific challenges they may be facing. This allows the salesperson to tailor their questions and approach to the prospect's unique situation.

During the call, the salesperson should use the template to guide the conversation and ask open-ended questions to encourage the prospect to share their thoughts and feelings. The template should cover key areas such as the problem the prospect is trying to solve, how they are currently managing the issue, how they will measure success with the proposed solution, and any concerns they may have.

By using a template, the salesperson can ensure that they cover all relevant areas and gather the information needed to make a compelling sales pitch. It also helps to build trust and rapport with the prospect, as they will feel that the salesperson is genuinely interested in understanding their needs and providing a solution that meets their unique requirements.

With this template the salesperson to be more effective in their communication, build stronger relationships with prospects, and ultimately close more deals.
